The ever-burgeoning Meatpacking District enters the burger fray at this new patty palace from Steve Hanson, offering a half-dozen iterations made from a custom blend of Pat LaFrieda beef and chased with a well-curated selection of microbrews and ‘specialty shakes’; set in the former Hog Pit pen, the joint embraces its roadhouse roots via the ample use of neon, checkered tablecloths and exposed brick.

    •  Good burger and onion rings and good conversation.
    •  the noise level made almost impossible to carry on a conversation.lip reading would have been handy skill. however ,the company was intelligent and fun.
    •  While it was noisy to the point of having to shout at each other, the burgers and beer were outstanding. "Smashed" burgers in the style of Shake Shake, these tasty beauties were definitely on par with the Shack. Not as good as Corner Bistro and a little small for my taste, but definitely delicious. The Bobcat, with grilled fresh chili peppers and pepper jack cheese was killer. Crisp, almost greaseless fries and onion rings were way above average. Good frosty beers completed the most satisfying meal!
    • General Manager & Maitre d'
We waited for at least 30 minutes for our table. The tables were positioned very closely to each other. The host was friendly and updated us regularly regarding the status of our table. Our waitress did not introduce herself or review the menu and the day's specials, but was congenial and patient. Our orders were delivered promptly but incorrectly. Alex received my burger and I, his. The dishes were presented in a straightforward manner reminiscent of a drive-in. The burgers were served on paper plates and the fries and onion rings in baskets. The oatmeal stout was pricey at $9/bottle. My burger was composed of rich, flavorful meat and topped with tasty cheese. Its seeded hamburger bun was unexceptional. The onion rings and fries were appetizing but not outstanding. The burger and sides seemed oversalted. Bill's provides a lively, informal atmosphere in which to enjoy a tasty, if expensive ($28) dinner. My journey to burger heaven continues!
