“Que sabroso!” cheer champions of this West Hell’s Kitchen “haven of authenticity”, a cash-only Mexican whose “killer” “Puebla-style” food is decidedly “not gringo grub”; it’s served with “no fuss” for “little money”, though the stark setup is “more suited to takeout.”

      “ We were seated promptly. Our server did not introduce herself, but was friendly. She did not review the menu or the day's specials. Although she delivered our orders promptly, she appeared overwhelmed. I had to remind her to bring me a menu and a glass of water. The restaurant should have had at least one more person working the floor. The dishes were presented in an attractive manner and were accompanied by colorful sides: radishes, hot peppers and limes. The tortilla chips were fresh and the guacamole was rich, creamy and full-flavored. The grilled beef in my soft tacos was good but not distinctive. The spicy pork, though, was quite tasty. I taste-tested the grilled pork skin and quickly discovered that I can't handle that much fat. The venue will benefit from more decoration. 3 soft tacos+ side order of guacamole=$20, with tax and tip. I'd be willing to make a return trip to explore more of the menu. ”
    • “ I thought the soft tacos - especially the spicy pork - were great. The goat version - while packed with succulent meat, were less impressive. Decor was Stalinist at best, while the service was pleasant. Conversation was a highlight. I specifically enjoyed hearing about the red dots.... ”

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled
  • you can cancel at least 1 day(s) before the Meetup

Additional notes: Attendees who change their RSVP to "No" on the day of the Meetup will forfeit their deposits. Attendees who "no show" will forfeit their deposits AND risk their memberships in the Group. There will be NO exceptions to these policies.

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
