Neophytes at this Murray Hill Southern Indian (and Chennai Garden sibling) “never dreamed” that kosher vegetarian street food “could taste so good”, especially that “quite-a-deal” $7 lunch buffet; true, the setting is “simple”, but at these prices “who cares?”

Decor: 14 (fair to good)

      “ The restaurant had a record of my reservation. We were seated promptly. Our server did not introduce himself or review the menu. Our orders were delivered promptly, but two dishes were prepared incorrectly. Some servers apparently misunderstood us. The dishes were presented in an attractive manner. My spicy dosa and black chickpea dishes were ample, fresh and flavorful. The hot peppers in the dosa overpowered some of the other flavors. Seating was a bit cramped. The bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. Despite its shortcomings, I want to return to Tiffin Wallah to sample other dishes on its menu. ”

Additional notes: Attendees who change their RSVP to "No" on the day of the Meetup will forfeit their deposits. Attendees who "no show" will forfeit their deposits AND risk their memberships in the Group. There will be NO exceptions to these policies.
