Zagat Ratings & Review
Aptly named (after the “Hebrew word for ‘tasty’”), this cash-only Village Israeli “hole-in-the-wall” aïms to please with “phenomenal”, all-veggie falafels slung “quick” and “cheap”, and paired with “superb smoothies”; since the “tiny” space sports “just a few stools”, “takeout” is a given.

Food: 25 (very good to excellent)

Decor: 09 (poor to fair)

Service: 16 (good to very good)

    •  The food was exceptional. The only negative was the cramped space, but I loved the food. I am a huge falaffel fan, and theirs was exceptional. The tabouleh was great. Even the pita was not your typical. Being it is near my house, i am definitely getting take-out from there . And david even honored us with his privileged gelato excursion!! That was soo good and probably best gelato I ever had! Three cheers for Dave!

We waited for about 10 minutes behind about six other diners in order to place our orders. The counterman greeted us with a smile. We then waited another 10 minutes for our completed orders to be called out. The falafel platter featured ample portions. They were fresh and tasty, presenting a wide range of flavors. I particularly liked the spicy (harina?) falafel. I will definitely keep Taim in mind when passing through West Village.
